City of Springfield's Free Yard Waste Pick-up:

The City picks up yard waste for free (no stickers required) in Mill Creek every other week. Yard waste must be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on the Monday of our pick-up weeks: July 15, July 29, August 12, August 29, September 9, September 23, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 18, December 2, December 16, December 30.


All yard waste MUST be placed in paper yard waste/leaf bags or hard rigid plastic containers. Containers must be clearly marked with the words “Yard Waste” or “YW” and cannot be more than 30 gallons and weigh no more than 50lbs. Yard waste bags can also be dropped off at Evans Recycling for $1 per bag. Evans Recycling is located at 2100 J. David Jones Parkway and open on Monday through Friday 7 AM to 5 PM and on Saturdays from 7 AM to 12 Noon. For more information, go to the City's website HERE

City of Springfield's Free Yard Branch Pick-up:

The City's free branch pick up in Mill Creek for 2024 will be the weeks of August 12, and November 11. Branches must be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on the Monday of the scheduled week.


The maximum size of a branch pile that will be picked up is 3 feet in height, 4 feet in depth, and 10 feet in length. Branches placed on the curb should not block drains, the flow of traffic, or sidewalks. Branches can also be dropped for free year-round at Evans Recycling with a copy of your CWLP bill as proof of residency. For more information, go to the City's website HERE

E-Waste Recycling:

Goodwill recycles computers and computer accessories. Best Buy recycles computers and computer accessories, ink and toner cartridges, TV converter boxes and cables, cell phones, stereo equipment, digital cameras, vacuums, and other items for free. Lowe's recycles CFL light bulbs, rechargeable batteries, and plastic bags for free.
